Stop Looking To The Past For Signs

Something I had to share, followed by an additional messege: As I started out on my morning walk, with a few things on my mind, I decided to just put it out there. Ok...."I need a sign here!! And I don't mean some rock or another feather!!" This may sound kinda absurd to some but I am the type always looking to the sky and nature for their beautiful messages they have for us. But I did not want to mix up my need for a sign with actively looking for one either. I mean if I wanted to I could find 20 feathers and an "oh that cloud looks like this or that!"...before I came back from walking each day but I am not talking about that. I was quite specific. I am walking along and I had a thought of something I had seen in my path yesterday but kind had dismissed it. I began searching it out. Looking all along the same path I had taken previously. No bueno. As I did this I almost walked over the gift I was handed today...and it was not a cloud,a rock,a rainbow or a feather! This gave me a very strong "Ah Ha!" moment that no doubt was my intuition talking. This is the message that gave me: How many of you are so focused on the why's of yesterday, the meaning in the past...that you miss out on what today has for you. The past is just that...the past. It is meant to some times be cherish, as in beautiful memories we have made. It is something we learn from. But it is not something that we get stuck in or dwell upon. Doing so could possibly cause you to miss the very thing that may inspire you, uplift you or even change your life. So turn that head forward. Seek the meaning and signs in today. In the moment you are in. That's apart of Shine Your Damn Light intuitive coaching program! So what was today's sign? The one I almost missed? Here ya go......THE CICADA: Longevity, Rebirth, Metamorphosis, Reflection, Change, Development Cicadas are the longest living animals, which immediately cause them to be an obvious and appropriate symbol of longevity in animal totems. This and rebirth are the most common themes associated with the musical cicada, and these symbols are interpreted as highly personal. They speak to individuals directly, not only through their song but in the messages that their lives send. After staying underground for much of its life, the cicada insect breaks free and loses its shell. This serves as a direct calling to people who need to come out from hiding and break free of the restrictions that you put on yourself – “to shed your skin”. The Cicada symbolism shows a person’s ability to deeply reflect and be reborn as a new, better individual who can express him/herself honestly.
